ARC April is hosted by Shelly and Octavia over at Read. Sleep. Repeat. I’m late to the party on this one. I thought I followed their blog, but apparently I don’t and didn’t get the memo until yesterday. I participated in ARC August last year and it was helpful. Since I’m in a reading slump right now and I have a ton of ARCs that need to be read I figured this might be a good way to push myself out of that slump. We’ll see if it works.
Since we’re already mid-month and I’m in that stupid reading slump, I’m going to set my goal at 5 ARCs. It’ll be a challenge, but it is doable. I believe that’s the Silver Reader Level.
A separate, but necessary goal is also going to be actually posting the reviews for these ARCs. Since I haven’t been reading, I’ve been getting lazy about blogging too. Heck, I haven’t even done the last 2 Top Ten Tuesdays. In case anyone was wondering, it came down to sheer laziness.
I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself, even though I’d love to hit the Diamond Reader Level (16+ ARCs). I think if I try too hard, I’ll make my reading slump worse. Good news though, while thinking about this last night I actually started an ARC!
Here are a few of the ARCs I’d love to get to this month:
I have more from Netgalley and straight from the publishers that I’d like to get to, but these are the first 3 I’ll be concentrating on. Positive thinking.
Sign-ups close today, if you’re thinking about signing up for ARC April!
