2017 Reading Challenges

I was going to write something up for each individual challenge, but then realized I was a tad too lazy for that and it’s not really necessary.  I’m planning to approach reading with a different mindset in 2017 because I had massive reading and blogging slumps in 2016.  It would be nice to mitigate those this year, if possible. These are all of the long-term reading challenges I’m planning to participate in, but I may have to update this and… Read more »

2016 ARC August

2016 ARC August

That’s right!  You’re not hallucinating.  I’m back. 😀  It’s been awhile and I might be a tad rusty.  I also haven’t been reading.  That’s a bummer, I know.  This post is hopefully the first of many in order to get me back on track.  I’ve missed this!  Frankly, just typing this out even if it’s a bit all over the place is kind of therapeutic. On to business.  This post is mainly to declare my intention to participate in ARC… Read more »

ARC April Sign Up

ARC April Sign Up

ARC April is hosted by Shelly and Octavia over at Read. Sleep. Repeat.  I’m late to the party on this one.  I thought I followed their blog, but apparently I don’t and didn’t get the memo until yesterday.  I participated in ARC August last year and it was helpful.  Since I’m in a reading slump right now and I have a ton of ARCs that need to be read I figured this might be a good way to push myself… Read more »

2016 Reading Challenges Update

Reading challenges aren’t exactly easy, especially when you’re just happy you found some time to sit down and read.  I like participating because a lot of challenges force me outside of my comfort zone and I feel like I end up reading more books that I may have just skipped over otherwise.  Since I’m doing 5 different reading challenges, I’m just going to go with 1 quarterly update for all challenges. I’ve read at least 1 book for every challenge… Read more »

Bout of Books 15 Wrap Up

Bout of Books 15 Wrap Up

Another Bout of Books has come to an end.  I’m always a little sad to see them end, but it’s easier to stick with them because it’s only a week.  I guess we should figure out how I did with my goals now. Goal:  Read 3 books. Reality:  Well, I’m a little bit disappointed in myself.  I could’ve done a much better job with this, but I was just not in the mood to read.  I finished 3 books, but 2… Read more »

Bout of Books Challenge: Scavenger Hunt

Bout of Books Challenge: Scavenger Hunt

Today’s reading update:  I didn’t finish or actually read anything yesterday.  It was birthday and I celebrated sans books, for the first time ever.  It was kind of weird. Today’s challenge is a bookish scavenger hunt, hosted by The Book Monsters!  I love scavenger hunts!  It’s also kind of nice that I have today off of work, so I can actually do this with my own pictures!!! Book Scavenger Hunt:   1. Book Shelves 2. A book you’re planning to read/currently reading… Read more »

Here are the rules for the challenge: Pick villains from two different books that you would love to see fight each other.
